I’m Certain Moriah Chooses Bad Boys Like Matthew Craven Because Of Her Weird Upbringing

Welcome to Plathville star Moriah Plath is still reeling after a heartbreaking split with Matthew Craven, and I believe that she chooses shady men because of her upbringing. Yes, everyone has their type – dating other sorts of people may feel impossible. However, Moriah really needs to try. The bad boys she’s dating make it too hard for her to enjoy life. As soon as she begins to trust one, whether it’s Max Kallschmidt or Matthew, he cheats on her.

That’s what bad boys do, but Moriah may subconsciously choose men who will hurt her because she got used to being criticized as a child.

When parents disapprove, and unconditional love isn’t really a thing, a person may feel like they deserve the worst. They may not even realize that they’re dating bad people just to replay the psychodrama of their youth, and hopefully get a different result. However, that may be exactly what Moriah’s doing.

While she does it, the aspiring singer Moriah probably thinks that she’s making good choices. When it comes to romance, a person’s mind can play tricks on them. That’s why love is a mystery and a puzzle. It’s not always so clear why we want certain people… or don’t.

Is attraction something that we control or does it control us? It’s a good question, and I’m not sure of the answer. However, I’m somewhat confident that, when it comes to who I like, I’m not really in the driver’s seat. My mind, with all of its impressions and quirks and memories, is pushing me towards someone. I don’t even know why. That may be happening to Moriah, and it could be why she chooses people who are ultimately bad news.

Another theory is that Moriah’s too focused on what these guys, including Welcome To Plathville’s Matt Craven, look like. She should be more interested in other things. This is something that she can change if she wants to. If she does, it could change everything.

How Matthew Craven Hurt Moriah

He Lied To Her

Matthew treated Moriah badly, according to her mother, Welcome to Plathville‘s Kim Plath, who is also a deeply flawed human being. According to Kim, Matthew, who has a music career and is covered in tattoos (fitting the bad boy archetype to perfection), hid a secret relationship from Moriah. She was devastated when she discovered the truth. Apparently, he shares a child with the other woman, and Moriah was oblivious to all of this until the truth came out, causing major drama.

So, he seemed to be using Moriah for clout. That’s something that a bad boy would do – the typical shady man is self-absorbed. He will put himself ahead of his partners – yes, there’s always more than one. Sometimes, a guy like this will juggle women openly, secure in the knowledge that they will take what he dishes out – however, they might not know they’re being juggled. Moriah didn’t know, and since she found out, she’s been very depressed.

Kim & Barry Plath Asked Too Much Of Their Children

The Rules Were Hard To Follow

Piece of Heaven | Welcome to PlathvilleKim and Barry Plath are committed to raising their kids sheltered from technology and pop culture…but can they stay that way forever? #WelcomeToPlathville is all-new on Tuesdays at 10/9c.Posted by TLC on Monday, November 9, 2020

Matthew drove Moriah back to her father, Barry Plath, who gave her a soft place to fall. He’s always there, helping her if she needs it. Without her father, Moriah might be in a darker frame of mind. However, Kim and Barry set the stage for Moriah’s bad choices with men by withholding affection until she followed their rules, some of which are explained in the TLC at Facebook clip shown above. The Plath kids were banned from using social media. They could only enjoy:

  • supervised television
  • supervised Internet

Moriah got used to working hard to get any love at all. If she tried to be herself, she risked losing whatever warmth she managed to get by playing it safe. It was a challenging upbringing for an adventurous person like Moriah, who usually enjoys extremes. Her look is extreme in light of how she was raised, and her image is simply expressing what’s inside. However, it’s her softer qualities that she’s tried to keep hidden.

Moriah’s vulnerability is real, and she can be hurt. She covers this romantic and sensitive side with wild lipstick, short shorts and colorful hair. However, her heartbreak in the newest season was something that she couldn’t hide.

Trying to please the “unpleasable” is the essence of dating one of these types. Since they are playing a game, they can’t really be fulfilled by their relationships. Often, a bad boy is a narcissist who isn’t playing with a full deck, emotionally speaking. If one romance fails, they’ve got plenty of other options. They can pick and choose their victims, as it were, and sometimes, although the women know exactly what they’re dealing with, they continue to date the bad boys.

Women may enjoy the danger element, the confidence, the unpredictability. However, as time passes, the misdeeds of the bad boy are as predictable as rain. It’s easier to avoid them than to recover – change is possible. Females should look for better. Men who date bad girls should also set the bar higher – a partner should have some kind of respect for their love interest. Otherwise, what is the point?

All the con jobs and excuses get old in time. There is only so often a man can hurt a woman before she taps out mentally. Moriah was blindsided, but before that, he probably did many things that made her shake her head. There were undoubtedly red flags that she chose to overlook. If Moriah starts looking for a different type of guy, who isn’t as flashy but has more substance, she may find that changing was worth it.

Moriah needs to date a decent human being. They are out there, and hopefully, the Welcome to Plathville star has learned her lesson. Yes, she had two strikes, but life is long, if we’re lucky, and her next romance may not be so rocky, provided she chooses carefully. While everyone encounters creeps sometimes, there are ways to test the waters before diving in. Moriah should be researching the men she’s interested in before she even gives them her number. She’s famous and that brings the dirtbags out of the woodwork.
