’90 Day Fiance’ Stars Ariela Weinberg and Biniyam Shibre Split, Agree to Divorce on ‘The Last Resort’

Calling it quits. 90 Day Fiancé couple Ariela “Ari” Weinberg and Biniyam “Bini” Shibre split and agreed to divorce on 90 Day: The Last Resort season 2.

Ari, 34, admitted that it seemed like her husband, 34, had “no interest in fixing the marriage” during the Monday, February 24, episode of the TLC series, which sees troubled 90 Day Fiancé couples make a final attempt to save their relationships with a group therapy retreat at a resort. She asked that she and Bini speak with a therapist to discuss the next steps.

During their therapy session, Ari explained that she hadn’t felt comfortable around Bini and thought it seemed like Bini was never called out for his actions, but the acrobat said this was “not true.”

The therapist, Jason, said it seemed like the former couple’s “biggest challenge is getting caught up on past behavior. It’s almost like they’re in this loop and they just keep replaying the past, which is keeping them almost stagnant from being able to move forward.”

In the end, Ari and Bini concluded that they could not continue in their marriage.

“I think it’s better for us maybe not to be together because I just don’t believe that any of the things that were promised to me, I don’t believe that they’re going to be carried out,” Ari explained, with Bini adding that he felt “done emotionally” in the relationship.

After the therapist asked for confirmation that the two were deciding to end their marriage, Ari said, “I tried so hard to make a broken marriage work and it’s not working. So yes, that’s how I feel.”

She added, “We’ve decided that we’re going to be getting a divorce and we’re leaving the resort. And I have mixed emotions. I’m happy because, you know, I’m finally free in some sense from all of this, these burdens and problems and stress. And on the other hand, it’s sad because it’ll be starting all over again.”

Jason explained that the retreat would offer Ari and Bini resources on how to coparent their son, Aviel, 5, and maintain a healthy friendship. However, Ari admitted that she was sad about what her divorce would mean for their son.

Later in the episode, which was reportedly filmed in March 2024, the reality of the situation washed over Bini as he and Ari packed up their things and said their farewells to each other and their costars at the resort.

“She’s not my wife anymore. That’s very hard to think about,” he admitted.

Ari and Bini were first introduced to the 90 Day Fiancé franchise on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 2 in June 2020. The exes met when Ari was traveling in Bini’s home country of Ethiopia amid a divorce. After beginning their romance, they realized that they were expecting their first child, so Ari moved to Africa in order to raise their son together.

Despite initial disagreements over their living situation, Ari and Bini were a united front when they welcomed Aviel in December 2019, as seen in their debut season of The Other Way. The couple also got engaged.

Ari and Bini continued to experience problems in their relationship, including financial concerns and trust issues. However, they once again put their differences aside to move to the U.S. after Bini’s K-1 visa was approved, as seen in April 2022’s 90 Day Fiancé season 9. Fans watched the couple tie the knot in America during a July 2022 episode.

Unfortunately, the marriage was seemingly on the rocks again in early 2024. Ari and Bini sparked split rumors when the writer told a fan online that Bini was “single.”

Despite Ari and Bini’s decision to divorce nearly one year ago, it seems the two are on friendly terms today. On February 9, the New Jersey native gushed about her estranged husband performing as an acrobat in Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl 2025 halftime show.

“Congrats to Bini! He was one of the acrobats on the street lamp in the halftime show!” she wrote on her Instagram Stories with footage of the performance. “I am SO SO SO proud of you!”

She confirmed that she and the MMA fighter are still in contact with each other by adding, “Of course when I talked to Bini, he wasn’t nervous at all. I would have been freaking out! What an amazing opportunity to perform at one of the biggest events in the world in front of the American president!”
