90 Day Fiancé star Veronica Rodriguez is giving a health update to her Instagram followers after hurting her jaw and face in an accident. The 38-year-old Veronica was last seen on 90 Day: The Single Life season 3 in which she romanced a man called Justin Foster. Veronica split with Justin just before the finale, and in the Tell-All, revealed she was with Kim Menzies’ son Jamal Menzies. Veronica and Jamal have kept their current relationship status under wraps since then, but the North Carolina woman uses her social media to share updates about her daily life with fans. Recently, Veronica revealed her jaw was wired shut because of her fracturing her face in three places.
Veronica took to Instagram to wish her followers a happy Wednesday.
She revealed it has been two weeks since her jaw was wired. But it’s also four weeks until the wires will come off Veronica’s teeth. “I do have a doctor’s checkup tomorrow so fingers crossed, that everything goes well,” Veronica added. “He will weigh me again tomorrow,” Veronica continued. She told her followers that she did not “lose any weight this week.” Veronica revealed she had been “chugging” the meal replacement and protein shakes. Veronica crossed her fingers and hoped that there hadn’t been any weight loss. However, Veronica’s next story was a mirror selfie that led her fans to think she’s lost weight. As a clarification, Veronica wrote, “I’ve only lost like 5lbs from having my jaw wired, no one worry it’s just a weird angle”

Veronica rang her 38th birthday with a yummy birthday cake but sadly, she couldn’t taste it because of her broken jaw. She joked about having a birthday milkshake instead since having a cake was not possible. She posted a picture showing her mouth to the camera, as worried fans began to wonder how it even happened. Veronica soon posted a video where she explained it happened after her brother challenged her to do pushups. Veronica knew she could do it, but also decided to use her stepmother’s ab wheel she saw lying in a corner.
While the ab wheel was going to help Veronica do the pushups, it ended up being the reason why Veronica was rushed to the emergency room. Veronica didn’t realize that she was using the contraption backward. It had an auto recoil feature so when Veronica went to roll it, it recoiled. Veronica lost her grip and fell onto the hard floor face-first. Her jaw tore open and her siblings who happened to be in the medical field decided she needed stitches. Veronica could feel her injury was more serious than that. So X-rays were done which revealed she’d fractured her face on the cheeks on either side along with her chin.
Veronica opted to get her mouth wired shut instead of open surgery. It is going to take longer to heal now, but Veronica wanted to avoid any complications that could arise from surgery. However, Veronica recently revealed she needed an antibiotic cream for her scars and stitches. She had some infection on the end of it. Veronica’s recent IG updates does show that she’s doing better now. The 90 Day Fiancé star even posted herself enjoying drinks with a friend.
