90 Day Fiance’s Angela Deem’s Divorce From Michael Ilesanmi Speeding Up After Abandonment Claims

90 Day Fiance star Angela Deem and her estranged husband, Michael Ilesanmi, are moving their divorce along quickly months after she slammed him in court, In Touch can exclusively report.
According to court documents obtained by In Touch, on Monday, December 2, Michael, 35, informed the court he had turned over documents and information that Angela, 58, requested as part of the case.
Angela had served interrogatories, which is a list of questions or demands, that she wanted Michael to provide information on or produce related documents for.

As In Touch first reported, Angela filed for an annulment from Michael only months after he arrived in America in December 2023.
Angela filed her petition on June 20 in Georgia. In court documents, the TLC star said she married Michael on January 27, 2020, in Nigeria.
“The parties have continuously lived in a state of separation for 30 days preceding this filing,” Angela’s petition read.
Angela said her grounds for annulment are that Michael “fraudulently induced” her into a marriage “for the purpose of gaining legal permanent resident status in the United States.”
Her petition read, “After [Michael] abandoned [Angela], [Angela] discovered that [Michael] was engaged in a conspiracy with other Nigerian men to induce U.S. citizens into marriage for the purpose of gaining legal permanent resident status.”
Angela said, “There are no minor children as issues of this marriage, and none are expected.” She also asked that her maiden name be restored to Deem.
At the time, Angela filed a declaration with the court claiming she could not locate Michael.

Angela wrote, “A diligent search has been made, and [Michael] cannot be found within the State. I do not know where [Michael] lives or where [Michael] can be found,” Angela claimed.
“He abandoned the marital residence … and he has not contacted me. He only arrived in this country in December of 2023, so I do not have any information about his known associates.” Michael eventually responded to the case. He asked that he be granted a divorce, not an annulment as Angela had requested.
His lawyer said, “[Michael] denies that the [Angela] is entitled to an annulment as the parties entered into and continue to have a lawful marriage. [Michael] denies that there has been fraud on his part at any time during their marriage. [Michael] denies that he abandoned [Angela], but rather states that he fled an abusive situation for his own safety.”
“Specifically, [Angela] has committed both physical and mental abuse against [Michael] during the course of the parties’ marriage. This abuse has occurred both privately and publicly. Some of this abuse was documented while the parties were present and filming reality televisions shows. This abuse is largely what lead to the parties separating in February … and [Michael] fled the marital residence,” his lawyer added.
Michael asked the court to award him temporary and permanent support. A judge has yet to rule.
Michael and Angela, who have a 22-year age gap, first appeared on 90 Day Fiancé in 2018. The couple had a long-distance relationship at the time.
Angela and Michael got married in 2020 despite having a rocky relationship for years. The two waited for years for Michael’s visa to be approved.
The relationship fell apart within weeks of Michael arriving to America.
