WELCOME to Plathville star Kim Plath’s new boyfriend, Ken Palmer, finalized his divorce just before romancing the reality star, The U.S. Sun has exclusively learned.
Kim, 51, has been dating Florida-based flight instructor Ken, 57, since March 2023 after splitting from her husband Barry in 2022.
The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal Ken has recently come out of a marriage as well.
In divorce papers exclusively obtained by The U.S. Sun, Ken and his then-wife, Bobbi, filed a joint Petition for Simplified Dissolution of Marriage on December 23, 2019.
They were married just one year prior on December 8, 2018.
The exes claimed the marriage was “irretrievably broken.”
The court papers read: “We ask the Court to end our marriage and approve our marital settlement agreement.”
The divorce was finalized on February 5, 2020.
The Final Judgement read: “There is no marital property or marital debts to divide, as the parties previously have divided all of their personal property.
“Therefore, each is awarded the personal property he or she presently has in his or her possession. Each party shall be responsible for any debts in his or her own name.”
KIM’S NEW BEGINNING
As for Kim, she announced her separation from Barry after 24 years of marriage in June 2022.
Their statement at the time read: “After considerable thought and discussion, we have decided to end our marriage. While this was not an easy decision, we know it’s the best choice for both of us.
“We have been through many highs and lows in our 24 years of marriage and as we navigate this new chapter in our lives, we will co-parent our amazing children.”
Kim and Barry share nine children together.
NEW MAN
Ken began posting photos with Kim on Facebook in March 2023.
The U.S. Sun previously reported Kim has moved into his $609,000 Florida home.
Ken has been photographed with Kim’s children and has even been pictured with Barry.
Ken appears in the current season of Welcome to Plathville as well.
Kim asked Ken on last week’s episode: “What would you consider our relationship to be? Would you call me your girlfriend?”
He responded: “Oh definitely if you would accept that title.”
Kim then said: “I was thinking we were probably at a point where we would call it boyfriend-girlfriend.”
Kim met Ken during one of her son Isaac’s flying lessons, as he was his flight instructor.
OVERCOMING HARDSHIP
The new beginning comes after Kim faced legal trouble last year.
The U.S. Sun previously reported Kim was arrested on October 20, 2022, from a June 10 incident for driving under the influence, property damage, and personal injury in Florida.
In Touch reported Kim’s DUI case was initially closed in March 2023, when the TLC star was found guilty.
