Sister Wives’ Christine Brown Says That Getting to Know Husband David Woolley Was a ‘Crash Course’

Sister Wives star Christine Brown was dating her now-husband David Woolley less than a year before he proposed, but the reality star couldn’t hide her excitement about their nuptials in an upcoming episode of the popular reality show.

“So, David and I have only known each other for nine months,” Christine, 52, said in a clip for the Sunday, December 15, episode shared by TLC via Instagram. “It was a crash course in getting to know somebody.”

Despite their short courtship, Christine’s family was still excited for her, including her five kids.

“Mom’s now engaged and she’s been dating him for 10 seconds, but we’re all very happy for her,” Christine’s only son Paedon Brown quipped.

During a previous episode of Sister Wives season 19, fans got to see Christine gush about her new love during the October 6 episode.

“Usually after I have a date, I don’t, like, say anything or anything like that,” Christine told the cameras during a confessional. “But, I just had a date with this guy, David. We’ve been talking for, like, a month. I signed up for a dating website that’s for people with kids.”

She added that it was “crazy” and she was “so excited.”

Christine continued, “The first time I got on, I met David and his pictures were beautiful. It was him with these eyes. Pictures do not do him justice. His eyes were beautiful and I told him! Oh my gosh, we were walking to the restaurant and I go, ‘I just have to tell you I think your eyes are beautiful,’ just like that.”

The mom of five said that she and David “met up at this breakfast place” but once they were seated, David felt like they weren’t close enough. He suggested they “scoot closer,” and after that their relationship took off.

“We just started talking about everything,” Christine recalled. “It went great.”

Christine left ex-husband Kody Brown after 25 years of marriage in November 2021, and less than two years later, she had sparked a romance with David, 60. The couple went Instagram official on Valentine’s Day earlier this year and one month later, David had gotten down on one knee.

“We’re engaged! David popped the question VERY romantically, and I said YES!” Christine wrote alongside a photo of her and the construction company owner in an embrace while she showed off her new ring. “I’m so excited and just live in bliss every day!”

Christine walked down the aisle six months later and their nuptials were featured in a two-part special on TLC in January. Before the special aired, Christine and David sat down with In Touch and revealed that it was initially David’s idea that they say their vows in front of the cameras.

“We were talking about our wedding and things like that. And then just through the discussion he’s like, ‘Look, you have people that have been watching you for 14 years now and they’ve been following your story and now you have this romance and you have everything that you wanted. And I think they would appreciate watching it,’” Christine explained at the time.

David pointed out that Christine meant “everything” to her Sister Wives fans and thought they would appreciate being able to view their big day.
