She gave an example of him stating that if the wives aren’t “adorable,” he can’t adore them. Furthermore, she recognizes that behaving as if a wife can be “shelved” and taken down when he wants or needs them is no way to live. She asserts that she is glad that Meri and Janelle left too.
The interviewer points out the timing of it all was “wild” for the wives to leave after nearly three decades. Christine agrees and adds that if a guy in their religion loses one wife it is bad. Even if he says he didn’t love us.” Her word choices mimic Kody’s expression of the divorces.
Admittedly, she still believes that Robyn was the favorite and Kody couldn’t help but love her “the most.” But Christine circles back and adds, “But it’s got to be a really hard hit to lose three incredibly, wonderful, amazing, dynamic women.” Then, she pauses and throws her hair to the side to bask in the compliments pointed out about herself, Meri, and Janelle.
