While the tension between Moriah and Olivia Plath, her sister-in-law whose marriage to Ethan Plath recently ended, has been building for a while, the issue between the two over Moriah’s stolen music profits was a game changer. When Olivia helped Moriah with her music and provided creative photography, the younger Plath daughter was thankful, but she didn’t appreciate Olivia’s hard work enough to compensate her. Olivia released Moriah’s music, but Moriah didn’t agree with the way it was done and ultimately threatened legal action against Olivia, making it clear she couldn’t simply have a conversation. Ethan and Olivia were living in Tampa, Florida at one point, deciding where they were going to move next, and Moriah chose to live with the couple. As Moriah and Olivia were close and Ethan’s relationship with his sister was great, the couple didn’t think there would be any issue with Moriah coming to stay with them. Unfortunately for Ethan and Olivia, Moriah was angry with them about the issues with her music and chose to leave their home while they were on vacation, so she didn’t have to share that she’d be moving out. Moriah blocked both of their numbers, as well, so Ethan and Olivia couldn’t contact her.

5. Moriah Plath Alleged That Kim Used Ethan’s Credit Card & Didn’t Pay Him Back 

While many of Moriah’s moments of misbehavior come at Ethan and Olivia’s expense, she’s also been awful to her mother, Kim, too. Moriah has a difficult relationship with her mother, and at one point was trying to convince others that Kim had been stealing from her other children. Moriah alleged that Kim used Ethan’s credit card without his knowledge, and then when she told him, claimed she’d pay him back for the charges. Moriah’s been adamant that Kim hasn’t paid Ethan back and claims it’s been one of the factors in their relationship that’s been keeping Kim and Ethan apart.

While Moriah and Kim don’t have a phenomenal relationship, it’s likely in part because Moriah has started to become a lot more like her mother. She’s ignored the fact that some may not be interested in what she thinks, and has even started to get combative with her siblings and family members. Ethan and Olivia recently announced their divorcing after 5 years of marriage and 7 years together. While their relationship problems are their own, Ethan and Olivia’s issues were pushed by Moriah’s behavior, and without her adding more stress to their relationship, they may have been able to solve their problems a bit more easily. While Moriah was dramatic in saying so, she’s claimed in the past that she has a “black heart” in order to convey the idea that she isn’t emotional about the things happening in her life. Moriah pretends that she’s non-emotional to a fault, even trying to discredit the things she’s feeling in the moment. It’s a way for Moriah to look like she’s tough, but the Welcome To Plathville star has proven she’s anything but in recent episodes.
