Sister Wives: Kody Brown Thinks He Could Win Janelle Back (And How Christine’s Involved)

Kody Brown believes Janelle Brown has refused to reconcile with him due to Christine Brown’s influence over her. Since it premiered, Sister Wives season 18 has documented the breakdown of Kody’s marriage to three wives: Meri, Janelle, and Christine. However, one theme that has remained consistent throughout the season is Kody’s knack for blaming everybody but himself.

Sister Wives season 18, episode 10, which premiered on Sunday, October 22, 2023, focused mainly on the breakdown of Kody and Janelle’s marriage. However, in keeping with his style of avoiding accountability, Kody once again tried to paint one of his ex-wives as the villain.

Kody Thinks Christine Has Influenced Janelle

Since Sister Wives season 18 premiered, Kody has given different reasons why three of his wives decided to leave the marriage. However, during the latest Sister Wives season 18 episode, Kody decided to lay some blame at Christine’s feet. According to Kody, Janelle doesn’t want to reconcile with him partly due to the influence Christine has over her. Kody explained that he and Janelle see each other occasionally, and they speak on the phone once in a while. However, while Kody believes there are signs Janelle might be willing to give him another chance, he believes it would require her to seek Christine’s opinion and for them to decide whether they like hanging out with him or not.

Kody Doesn’t Want Christine Involved In Their Relationship

While Kody believes there might be a way back for him and Janelle, Christine’s alleged influence over her has kept him from making any moves. Kody has refused to speak to Janelle about why he believes her friendship with Christine has hampered their relationship. While Kody noted that Christine’s influence over Janelle is pathetic, he fears the effect of making his opinion known. During the episode, Kody explained why he has consistently steered away from the conversation, noting, “I don’t want to say anything to Janelle because I’m afraid Christine will find out about it or if the kids will find out about it, per People.

Janelle Will Get Back With Kody On One Condition

While Kody wondered why Janelle wouldn’t want to be married to him anymore and decided to blame Christine for influencing her, unsurprisingly, the 54-year-old only wanted something different from what Kody had offered her for most of their marriage. In her conversation with Christine (the accused) about the state of her marriage to Kody later in the episode, Janelle admitted that her relationship with him didn’t feel like it used to. Janelle said that she felt like they were “friends with benefits for years” rather than married couples.

Although Janelle admitted she would consider a plural marriage again because she likes it, the mother of six would only take Kody back if he changed. Janelle explained that Kody’s desire to take her as a marriage partner again was the only thing she needed to try and make the relationship work. Throughout the season, Kody has refused to take any blame for the breakdown of his plural marriages. His myopic view has hindered him from seeing simple solutions that might’ve otherwise saved his marriages.
