Late ‘90 Day Fiance’ Star David Murphey Left Behind Massive 6-Figure Estate, Did Not Have a Will

90 Day Fiance star David Murphey’s sisters are set to inherit his six-figure fortune following his death, In Touch can exclusively report.

On March 7, David’s sister Robyn Polinsky filed a petition, obtained by In Touch, seeking to be named administrator of his estate.

As In Touch previously reported, David died on December 11, 2024, at the age of 66.

“[David] was a single, unmarried man, with no children, either living or deceased,” Robyn wrote. “He was predeceased by both of his parents.”

Robyn said her and David’s other sister Cheryl Hastings are his only living immediate family members. She said their other sister Linda Murphey died before him.

In the filing, Robyn said David did not leave behind a will with instructions on where to distribute his assets.

“Due inquiry and search have been made to ascertain if [David] left a Last Will and Testament, or some other instrument dispositive of his estate, but none has been found and, according to [Robyn’s] best knowledge, information, and belief, [David] died interstate.”

Robyn said she believes the heirs to the estate are her and her sister. In her petition, Robyn said she was “competent to serve as administrator of the estate … and hereby consents to act as administrator.”

She explained that, “So far as known to [her], the property of [David] within the State of Nevada consists of real and personal property of a gross value, which after deducting encumbrances, exceeds” $300,000.

“All liquid assets of the estate should be placed in an attorney trust account, pending further order of this court,” the petition read.

Robyn said she hired a law firm to help her with the estate matters. In Touch obtained David’s death certificate which listed him as a “software engineer.”

The cause of death was listed as cardiac arrhythmia and hypertensive cardiovascular disease. The certificate said the death was “natural” and that David was cremated at a Las Vegas funeral home. The certificate said no autopsy was performed on David.

Sources told TMZ that David had been battling liver cancer for over a year before his death. The outlet reported the reality star underwent 13 surgeries in the 12 months before he passed, and had another surgery scheduled.

Sources told TMZ that David was “very frail and unwell” in his final weeks.

A couple of weeks after filing her petition, Robyn filed new information with the court. She explained she learned that David owned a Montana LLC named Daves Nomadic Life.

She said the company was involved in business activities and owned a 2023 Cornerstone, 45-B, motor vehicle.

“It is in the best interest of the estate, and it is necessary that the administrator have authority to continue the operation of such company and to have authority to access bank accounts, receive payments and pay bills, execute agreements, contracts and other legal documents on behalf of the company and to liquidate and dispose of the motor vehicle.”

The case is ongoing.

As In Touch previously reported, David’s family announced his death on December 18, days after he passed. They explained David had been “experiencing health issues over the last several years.”

The family said, “David was a veteran, small business owner, and software engineer. He had recently retired from the Clark County Treasurer’s office in Nevada, having also worked for H&R Block and IGT.”

The statement continued, “He was also well known for his time as a cast member on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. His time on the show allowed him to connect with viewers, see the world, and share his experiences with his thousands of followers on Instagram.”

They added, “He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and fans. David has survived by his two sisters and his cat Gamera. The family asked for privacy during this difficult time.”

David first appeared on season 4 of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, where viewers met his Ukrainian girlfriend Lana.

David and Lana chatted online for years on a website that charged David thousands in fees. He proposed during his fifth trip to meet her, which she accepted.

However, the duo broke up a short time later.
