Sister Wives star Kody Brown constantly proclaims onscreen that he doesn’t have much money. During Season 19, he declined to buy Janelle Brown’s part of Coyote Pass, citing a lack of finances.

However, the reality star never seems to have issues coming up with money for elaborate mansions for himself and Robyn Brown.

After Janelle and Christine Brown discussed Kody’s suspicious money habits during Sunday night’s episode, many fans have questions about his new mansion.

A Sister Wives Viewer Has Questions About Kody & Robyn’s Newest Home

Most Sister Wives fans find it suspicious that Kody and Robyn Brown always have the best home while the other wives go without. Now, one viewer is questioning the legitimacy of the purchase.

“Do you think Kody put the mansion in another name?” a Sister Wives viewer posted on Reddit this week, attaching a screenshot. “I saw this on Facebook and wondered if he did put that 2 million dollar mansion in another name to protect his assets?”

“Speculation,” the post reads. “Word on the street is the new house [Kody and Robyn] bought they put it in a trust in her mom’s name. Apparently there’s either [a] room or there is a guest house for her mom to come and live with them. This got me wondering if ultimately it is [Robyn’s] long game to ultimately divorce Kody. … Could be interesting to see how this plays out.”

Redditors Debunk The OP’s Claims

However, most Redditors quickly shut the OP’s idea down. As much as Sister Wives fans dislike Kody and Robyn Brown, there wasn’t much credibility in the screenshot.

Kody and Robyn have allegedly done horrendous things for the sake of their own financial interests, but there doesn’t seem to be anything nefarious about this move. The couple does have a trust called “White Stone Trust,” which is on the house’s paperwork. And many Redditors pointed out they’ve done the same thing.

• “Kody and Robyn put the new house in a trust called White Stone Trust with both their names under that trust. Robyn’s mom is not on the house.”
• “Get ready for the actual documents not to be believed because it doesn’t line up with the preferred fanon.”
• “It’s normal to put home purchases in a trust if you have one. I always have put mine in a trust. It’s smart.”

One Redditor even shared a screenshot of the legal paperwork, clearly displaying Kody and Robyn’s names.
