Rolling in Money! 90 Day Fiance’s Jasmine Panics Over Gino Leaving Job Amid Her U.S. Move
Not on the same page? 90 Day Fiancé star Gino Palazzolo and his fiancé, Jasmine Pineda, have several issues in their relationship. One of the main problems between the TLC couple is that Jasmine enjoys a lavish lifestyle but Gino prefers to be frugal with his money. Fans watched as Gino spent hundreds of dollars on hair extensions for Jasmine and even paid $3,000 in rent for her luxury apartment in Panama.
However, as the pair finally start their life together in the United States, Gino revealed he “left” his job to help his fiancé acclimate to her new life — ultimately forcing the couple to evaluate their spending habits.
This has led fans to wonder how much money Gino makes to take so much time off, what his job was and what he does for a living that he could afford to spoil Jasmine.
What Is ‘90 Day Fiance’ Star Gino’s Job?
According to his LinkedIn, Gino worked for Ford as an engineering program manager and the average yearly salary for that position is $112,757, per Glassdoor. Now he works as a product development engineer at Faurecia, and according to Glassdoor, yearly salaries can range from $75,055 to $325,111.
The 90 Day Fiancé alums will have to rethink their finances as Gino revealed he planned on leaving his job for “maybe a year” to help Jasmine settle in her new home in the States.
“I wanna make Jasmine a priority. I wanna make sure she gets on her feet in Michigan, get all these things that she’s gonna need,” he explained prior to her arrival, on the premiere episode of 90 Day Fiancé season 10 in October 2023. In another scene, Gino admitted he felt Jasmine had become “spoiled” and worried for the “taste of reality” she’d feel once in Michigan.
“I’m a little worried about telling Jasmine that I quit my job because Jasmine likes to live the luxury good life,” he continued. “And if I don’t have any income or money, oh my God, Jasmine’s going to kill me.”
However, Gino did end up telling Jasmine he left his job during the October 22 episode of 90 Day Fiancé season 10. She was upset by his decision because she feared it would affect her children coming to the U.S. Though Gino tried to reassure her that they would be fine as long as they had a budget, Jasmine cried over the situation and said she was “panicking” because they would have no income.
Later in the episode, the couple argued over finances as Gino found out about Jasmine’s expensive butt implants. Gino was disappointed to learn that the procedure cost $10,000, and she used her wedding dress money to pay for part of it. Meanwhile, she has yet to tell her fiancé that the rest of the procedure money came from her ex-boyfriend, Dane.
What Else Does ’90 Day Fiance’ Gino Do for a Living?
Gino also earns a paycheck from his participation in filming the TLC series. Prior to their return on season 10 of 90 Day Fiancé, Gino and Jasmine starred in two seasons of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. “Before the 90 Days cast makes $500 to $1,000 per episode” each, a source previously revealed.
’90 Day Fiance’ Star Gino’s Family Thinks Jasmine Is Using Him for Money
Gino is from Canton, Michigan. He met Jasmine on an international dating site and documented his trip to Panama to meet her in person on season 5 of TLC’s 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. As he prepared for his trip, he visited with his uncle Marco and Marco expressed their doubts about his nephew’s new relationship because he felt that foreigners only “want a ticket to come” to America.
“My concern is, is this a scam? Does she got 10 guys that she’s doing this to and you’re all on the string?” Marco asked Gino. He insisted that Jasmine is “emotionally” invested in their relationship because he felt no one could lie about “stuff like that.”
But Marco’s girlfriend, Sandra, brought up another reason why they were concerned: because Jasmine was “getting money” from Gino even though he was unemployed at the time.
“Because of the pandemic, I got laid off from my job [as] an automotive engineer about seven months ago,” Gino explained in his confessional. “But since I’ve been smart with my savings, I thankfully have been able to send money to help Jasmine out.”
Jasmine, who works as an American literature teacher, had also become unemployed during the pandemic. “You know, she had a rough time during the nine months we were talking because she wasn’t working so I had to help her out with some money,” Gino explained to his uncle. “But she’s not a materialistic kind of person.”
Gino went on to reveal how Jasmine has spent the money he’s given her. “I’ve helped for things such as doing her lips or maybe her eyebrows or maybe facial treatments, possibly her hair or her teeth,” he said in his confessional. “Yeah, I’ve helped her out with those things.”
Are 90 Day Fiance’s Jasmine and Gino Getting a Prenup?
Upon their return of season 6 of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days in June 2023, Gino brought up the topic of a prenup to the Panama native — something she clearly didn’t take well.
Gino believed a prenup could be good for them because it would provide both parties with financial security. “I’m just taking it out,” Jasmine responded during the June 25 episode as she took her engagement ring off. “And we are no longer engaged.”
The mom of two later explained to her sister Liz that her previous marriage left her jaded as she said her ex-husband was “very unfair with the divorce.”
“I was left with nothing. So I feel that [this] is like a nightmare repeating itself,” she said during the July 2, 2023, episode. “I’ve sacrificed so much for Gino and he’s asking for a contract even though I have to leave everything and go to the United States knowing if this doesn’t work I could end up in the streets, because he’s not going to give me anything.”
Ultimately the couple determined to not have a prenup in their marriage. “It seems like Jasmine and I fighting about the prenup was very likely due to cultural differences that we have,” Gino revealed in a confessional after they came to the decision. “I don’t believe that I’m going to regret the decision if [we] don’t have a prenup if it means being with the love of my life and the woman that I truly love.”
Meanwhile, Jasmine admitted in her own confessional that she would have signed a prenup if it meant they could stay together.
