90 Day Fiancé’s Brandan Complains He’s Being “Physically Controlled” By “Insecure” Mary
90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star Brandan DeNuccio feels no one should have to live the way he’s being treated by Mary Demasu-ay after he went to the Philippines. The 23-year-old Brandan has lived a difficult life in America. When he was 3 or 4, his mom and dad split up. He started living with his mom, but when he turned 15, she lost custody after failing a drug test. Brandan then went to stay with his demanding and hostile dad for three years. After leaving, he looked for places to stay as well as jobs.
As a preview (via People) for the next episode of The Other Way season 5 reveals, Mary is pushing Brandan to his breaking point. In the video, Mary takes Brandan to her local church. “Don’t look at girls. Just look at the priest, okay?” she keeps telling Brandan throughout the sermon. Brandan agrees at first, saying, “Okay, Babi,” but as he tries to play it cool and keep calm, Brandan is nearing a breakdown. He’s already under a lot of pressure because Mary expects him to adopt her religion, so her telling him that she doesn’t want him looking at other girls is a “bit much.”

Brandan keeps staring around out of boredom because he’s not understanding what’s going on. “If I even turn my head, she doesn’t like it, and that’s f***** up,” he admits. Mary wants Brandan to “just” look at her when he’s not looking at the priest. “Here we are again with Mary getting insecure and jealous, even though we’ve talked a lot about how that won’t happen anymore,” Brandan tells the cameras in his confessional. “To be physically controlled…like, where I can look, who I can speak to…I don’t think anyone should have to live like that,” Brandan says, adding that he feels he “can’t win” if Mary keeps acting like that.
Mary wants Brandan to know more about her faith, and while he’s trying his best to do it, she’s also annoying him by asking him to “behave,” thinking he came to church with her to stare at other women. Brandan and Mary had both been cheated on by their exes in the past. It was Mary’s idea for them to be online on a video call 24/7, but Brandan also thought they should be doing that. Mary suspected Brandan was cheating on her when he was on the plane, on the way to meet her, and when he had a female passenger sitting next to him. Mary wanted to stay on a video call when Brandan was getting his checkup done by a female dental hygienist.
Brandan might have expected Mary to stop her controlling behavior once they met in person. After all, she was now going to be physically by his side all the time. Still, Mary is still the same insecure person she was in the long-distance relationship. It has been revealed that Brandan and Mary got married earlier this year. Mary is reportedly pregnant with Brandan’s baby now. But whether Mary has stopped being suspicious of her partner cannot be confirmed. It’s something that 90 Day Fiancé might address in the Tell-All.
