Sister Wives’ Christine Brown Says She Had Sex with Kody Only ‘5 Times’ a Year Pre-Split: The Intimacy Was ‘Gone’

Christine also recalled the moment Kody announced they would no longer have “an intimate marriage” and put an end to their sex life

Christine Brown is getting candid about her sex life — or lack thereof — with Kody Brown during their relationship.

The Sister Wives star, 51, is now acknowledging the extent to which her physical relationship with the TLC patriarch had deteriorated in the time leading up to their split.

“It was, like, five times in one year,” she told Juicy Scoop podcast host Heather McDonald of sex with her ex. “There’s sex and then there’s intimacy. What we didn’t have was intimacy. The intimacy itself had been gone for years.”

In fact, she said Kody announced the end of their physical coupling: “He’s like, ‘We’re not going to have an intimate marriage anymore. We’re not going to have sex.’”

Soon after her then-husband’s proclamation, Christine began “boxing up his stuff” and informed him he had no place in her bed.

Christine, 51, was the first of the sister wives to leave their plural marriage to Kody, 54.

A year later in December 2022, Kody announced his separation from second wife Janelle Brown, 54. A month after that, end of his union with Meri Brown, 52, was confirmed in January after the pair’s relationship had been platonic for years.

Robyn Brown, 45, is now his only remaining wife.

Christine went public with her relationship with David Woolley on Valentine’s Day 2023, and the couple  tied the knot in October surrounded by friends and family — including Janelle.

Christine has been open about her extraordinary connection to David, revealing she knew he might be the one after their very first date.

“The date went great,” she told PEOPLE in October. “And the date that I had lined up for that night with another guy, I canceled that date. I decided we had something, we just clicked really, really well. And then on our second date, I realized that we actually had something really special.”

Now that the two have finally achieved their happily ever after, Christine shared why David felt like “home” ahead of their wedding at the Red Cliffs Lodge in Moab, Utah.

“I feel like wherever we are together, we just create this amazing unity together,” she gushed. “We’re just a solid unit, and whatever goes on around us just doesn’t even matter. Being married together just solidifies us together.”

“I knew Christine was ‘the one,'” David added. “It just feels so right.”
