90 Day Fiancé- Nicole Nafziger’s Most Embarrassing Social Media Fails Before & After Azan Split

90 Day Fiancé alum Nicole Nafziger has made some memorable social media flops that have earned her criticism before and after her relationship with Azan Tefou. Nicole originally appeared on 90 Day Fiancé season 4, where she traveled to Morocco to meet the love of her life, Azan, for the first time. Their rocky journey continued on 90 Day Fiancé season 5, followed by 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? seasons 3 and 4. After her run on the show, Nicole tried to become a social media influencer and received very mixed results.

Nicole is especially unforgettable because of her obsession with Azan and her unwillingness to give up the relationship when it was clear it was unhealthy. Nicole was adamant about not conforming to Azan’s culture and religious rules, often making Azan uncomfortable and embarrassed. Furthermore, she dragged her young daughter, May, into the situation and had her refer to Azan as her dad. She even brought May to Morocco against the advice of her family. On top of her on-screen antics, Nicole has made headlines for her social media displays, where she has tried to garner attention.

Nicole’s Death Hoax Wasn’t Exactly A Big Hit With Her Instagram Followers

One of the most notable times Nicole made a fool of herself online was when she falsely claimed she had died. She used her Instagram platform to share a post insinuating she was dead. The post was done with a clickbait push, and she had the comments turned off. Nicole did attract a ton of attention to her post, but it was the bad kind. 90 Day Fiancé fans did not like being tricked about something so serious, nor did they like her click-baiting. Not only did Nicole anger fans with her fake news, but she also discredited herself and soured fans’ views of her.

Nicole’s Faked Pregnancy Was Pure Clickbait

Nicole’s other serious fail on social media came when she led her followers to believe she was pregnant. Nicole shared a photo of herself next to a sonogram picture with the caption: “All because two people fell in love” (via Monsters and Critics). Nicole was not pregnant and faked the pregnancy so people would click on the link she shared in her bio. This online transgression lost Nicole a lot of followers and respect and is another example of her ridiculous online behavior.

Nicole Explained The Whole Clickbait Thing

Nicole’s clickbait links took fans to articles where she denied whatever was being alleged, like her death or the pregnancy, and apologized to fans for confusing them while wishing them well. Nicole ended up explaining why she did the clickbait ruses. She said she did them to earn money and that the company she worked for would post the link, and she would get paid for every click (via The Overtimer). Given that Nicole currently has 655,000 followers, she might have thought it was a good way to monetize her fame. However, the serious topics that Nicole was falsely reporting on have not merited giving her a pass based on her excuse for doing them.

These days, Nicole has mainly stuck to sharing pictures of her daughter May and her life as a mother. Nicole has also shown off that she works at Starbucks. Her last clickbait was in July 2021. Moreover, that clickbait piece claimed that her relationship with Azan was over for good. Outside of pictures of May and shameless selfies, Nicole promotes that she is a gamer and artist, also sharing that she loves anime and positivity. In her bio, she encourages fans to be nice with the hashtag “#BeKindAlwayss.”

Nicole has proven that she is a wildcard both on and off-screen. She has created OMG-level drama for viewers and carried her shocking antics over to her social media page. Nicole shared blatant clickbait and gained a bad reputation for it. Her excuse that she was posting them for money was unsavory to fans who did appreciate being misled. Nicole’s social media fails over the years have only proved to be embarrassing as she’s gotten nothing but criticism for them. However, 90 Day Fiancé fans may still want to continue following Nicole, if only for her social media follies and public backlash.
