90 Day Fiance: Ashley Michelle Questions Manuel Velas about Money
Manuel Velas told Ashley Michelle that he is responsible for helping his family financially in Ecuador. He isn’t able to work until he gets his green card. So, the money has to come from his wife. She agrees to help. But she feels that ever since he came to America, he has been asking her for more and more money.
The 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After cast member transferred $1,000 into her husband’s bank account. Not long after, he asked for $300 more. So, she asked him where the money went. He couldn’t give her an answer, which only made her mad. As his wife, she feels she should know where her money is going.
However, Manuel doesn’t feel it is Ashley’s business to know where the money goes. He doesn’t know why she can’t understand that if someone needs help, he will help them. He explains that if the money is for his family, she doesn’t need to ask a lot of questions to make sure they really need it.
Manuel Keeps Ashley in the Dark
Manuel tells Ashley she knows he has a family, kids, and a mom. He explains that he has always tried to help out his mother, whether she needs it or not. He isn’t going to ask his mother what she is spending the money on.

However, the 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After castmate feels that her always giving him money makes their relationship feel transactional. She doesn’t like that she gave him $1,000, and then he changed his bank password. But he explains that he changed his password because she was taking money from the account.
Ashley doesn’t find it fair that she is not told what is happening with the money she is providing. She wants to help Manuel’s family, but she isn’t going to send money until she knows what it is for.
