“$400 Flip Flops!”: Janelle Called Out Sister Wives’ Robyn’s Lavish Lifestyle With Kody

Kody’s song and dance about Coyote Pass feels like a dog and pony show. There’s so much drama and under the bluster, it’s just a haze of indecision. Kody wants to sell, and then he doesn’t – he can’t make up his mind.
Will Life Ever Get Easier For Janelle?
It Seems Like Her Spiritual Union Was A Disaster
Meanwhile, Janelle’s got money problems and probably hopes to get a little cash from the sale of the property. However, she may be left whistling in the wind. That’s because Kody recently said, as per the show:
We didn’t pay for Coyote Pass all equally. I paid for an entire lot all by myself, at least 92 percent of it.
I’m like, dude, let’s just get it sold, let’s get it divided — however we’re going to do this. But it’s just crickets. It’s just whatever.
Like the Battle of Waterloo, Coyote Pass is a saga. It’s a war that “leader” Kody’s destined to lose. He owns most of the land plots, along with Robyn. However, even if Kody hangs onto the property, or sells it and gets most of the proceeds, he’ll lose in the court of public opinion.
Kody’s blatant bullying over Coyote Pass shows a weakness in the system – something in urgent need of repair. Polygamy can really hurt women, and Kody’s dynamic with his ex shows that the damage doesn’t stop when women leave patriarchs. After Janelle, who’s embarked on a 2025 detox, left Kody, she complained about being in the poorhouse. This is a woman who was, along with Kody, the primary breadwinner in the family.
Robyn Seems To Get Everything
Does She Care About Kody’s Exes?
Kody and Robyn’s residence was listed for 1.65 million dollars. While Kody and Robyn might need money from the sale, they bought quite an expensive home. That says a lot about their financial world, in contrast to Janelle’s. It’s Robyn’s costly shoes (which might actually be $200 Tory Burch sandals, but still pricey) and fancy house (and whining about her problems) which aren’t so serious as Janelle’s, that has caused a rift between them… one that isn’t really fixable.
Kody and Robyn may be out for themselves – after splits, it’s very common for people to be money-minded. A lot of breakups become battles over resources – joint bank accounts and possessions. This is where the Brown family’s at. It’s dog-eat-dog – something negative that needs to be gotten through. Usually, this type of strife is temporary.
However, with the Browns, nothing’s ever that rational or simple. Kody’s quite paranoid, and that’s why he seems ultra-cautious about any deal-making that involves his exes. That’s why they don’t always believe him, or agree with his choices.
As Meri and Janelle contemplate hiring lawyers, the fabric of the Brown family frays to the breaking point… again. Once again, Kody seems to be doing all that he can to make the lives of his exes miserable. However, he doesn’t seem very happy himself. Kody’s life feels insular – he’s notably bitter. He’s not a cheery or confident man.
Kody seems to dwell in the past, ruminating over grudges. Sometimes, he’s barely rational. People recovering from splits should make an effort to be reasonable, even if it hurts.
Of course, he should sell Coyote Pass and give the exes money they’re rightfully entitled to, and he should do it soon, in order to ease any financial problems they might have. That’s why it seems like he’s using his majority ownership of the property as leverage. Kody’s not always a gentleman – that is clear. However, it’s never too late to change.
